Gillis Ray "Blue Gill" Saylor - October 29, 2010 - 


Gillis Ray "Blue Gill" Saylor, age 61 of Crooksville Road in Richmond, Ky. died Friday, October 29, 2010 at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond. He was born in Pathfork, Kentucky on February 26, 1949. He was a 20 year employee of Okonite and loved to fish.

Mr. Saylor is survived by: his wife, Pam Pisarski Saylor of Richmond;
son, David Saylor of Lockport, Ill.;
daughters, Deborah Warren of Pontiac, Michigan,
Dawn Philips of Lockport, Ill.;
step-daughter, Jenny Tomes of Fayetteville, N. C.;
step-sons, Jay Tomes of Kernersville, N.C.,
Joey Tomes of Pennington Gap, Va.;
step-mother, Jean Saylor of Wallins Creek, Ky.;
sisters, Anna Shawver of Kissee Mills, Mo.,
Jennifer Wilcox of Greenville, Mich.,
Alice Collett of Wallins Creek, Ky.,
Connie Asher of Cadillac, Mich.;
brothers, Robison Saylor of Des Moines, Wash.,
Paul Saylor of O’Fallon, Ill.
14 grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Saylor and his parents, Robison Saylor and Sinda Creech.

Funeral services for Mr. Saylor will be 12:00 noon Tuesday at the Davis & Powell Funeral Home in Berea with Rev. Tim Beard officiating.

Burial will be in the Madison County Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice Care Plus.
